City collected $54,000 in fines during Super Bowl

The city of Indianapolis took in more than $54,000 in fines from 120 people and businesses that failed to get permits allowing them to work in the so-called "Clean Zone" downtown leading up to the Super Bowl.

A woman selling balloon animals for a $1 apiece, a woman selling American flags for $5 apiece and several people selling lanyards and ticket holders were each fined $1,500, WTHR-TV reported. A man selling boas and shot glasses was fined $2,000.

Adam Collins with the Department of Code Enforcement said most violations were minor, such as for not having the temporary license needed to operate.

Scalpers faced fines of up to $2,500.

Reporting about CBS blindsiding WISH/LIN due to CBS's greed and bullying tatics would risk any future negoations LIN will have with CBS in other markets.
