Organizers say they're getting ready for 28,000 gaming fans to participate in Gen Con Indy.
The event runs Thursday through Sunday at the Indiana Convention Center. It's in its 42nd year.
As part of the gathering, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra presents "Video Games Live" at Conseco Fieldhouse
on Saturday. It features music from video games, including "Mario," ''Zelda," ''Halo,"
''Final Fantasy" and "Tomb Raider.
The gathering is organized by Seattle-based Gen Con LLC. It drew 27,900 people to Indianapolis in 2009 and is one of the
city's largest conventions.
Gen Con, one of the city’s largest conventions, agreed last April to remain in Indianapolis through 2015. The event has plans to expand dramatically after the expanded convention center opens.
