The commute to and from downtown Indianapolis is about to get a lot trickier as major street closings related to Super Bowl
activities begin Friday.
The Super Bowl Host Committee announced street closings in mid-December as part of its transportation and parking plan to
help visitors navigate the downtown. Super Bowl-related events begin in earnest Friday and continue daily through the big
game on Feb. 5.
Some street closings began Jan. 19. But, on Friday, the south side of Monument Circle, in addition to streets intersecting
Georgia Street, the heart of the Super Bowl Village, will close as well.
