The republicans are determined to have a toll road somewhere. These PPP's are attractive to companies that can squeeze lots of money out on the front end - not giving the state a $500 million loan for 35 years.
I'm all for keeping it local too but this paragraph won me over: "The goal of using AutoReturn is to streamline services so police spend less time waiting to clear accident scenes and citizens don't have to visit the City-County Building downtown to pay fees before picking up their cars, Baker said. Citizens will be able to use AutoReturn's online service to locate their cars and pay fees before picking them up, he said." Indy businesses need to be more high tech. As someone who unfortunately has had his car towed, I can't emphasize what a pain in the A$$ antiquated system it is to take care of it.
Every time i eat at qdoba i get sick, stopped doing so years ago, chipotle is more sustainable and uses better ingredients. For a much better product overall and much fresher using local produce, i hate that they have such a limited footprint all these years
John Hawkins did work in the Mayor's Office. I don't know how he obtained that position, what he did there, or what his specific title was, but he was sent to DMD from the Mayor's Office. It has long been well known that Reggie Walton's relationship with Deputy Mayor Olgen Willians was the reason that he was given the job of Assistant Administrator. There are plenty of competent, dedicated, hard-working city workers of all races. Walton & Hawkins were in their positions because of a corrupt practice of appointing friends and political patrons to City jobs for which they aren't qualified, not because of their skin color.
What a surprise. Another day, another example of the corruption in the Mayor's office. Who got the kickbacks on this deal?
