Goal:
To honor a previous Forty Under 40 honoree who stands out as a continuing contributor to the central Indiana community though excellence in leadership, community service or business achievement—or some combination.
Who is eligible?
Anyone who was named a Forty Under 40 honoree at least 10 years ago (which for 2022 means anyone in the 2012 class or earlier) and who remains a resident of central Indiana. Here is a list of previous honorees.
Who can nominate?
Only nominations from previous Forty Under 40 honorees will be considered. Here is a list of previous honorees, who are eligible to nominate someone for the alumni award.

What is the deadline for nominations?

Who will choose the winner?
A committee of IBJ leaders and at least two former Forty Under 40 honorees will choose the award winner.
How will the award winner be honored?
IBJ will honor the Forty Under 40 Alumni Award winner at its annual Forty Under 40 event. A short story and photo will also be included in IBJ’s annual Forty Under 40 publication.
Can I nominate myself?
We prefer that another previous Forty Under 40 honoree nominate you for the award.
