And now we know the real reason for the property tax reform. Those property improvements will be raising his property taxes.
I really can’t stand on the governor and his politics, however, in the world we live in, half of Indiana owns a gun and half of those people are nuts. If you’re a public figure making difficult decisions the reality is security is needed. I bet the United healthcare CEO wishes he had a little more security. Seems reasonable that the State upgrades and pays for his security.
If you run for govenor you should expect that you live in the govenors mansion as part of the job.
If employees can’t work from home, neither should he.
Everyone here realizes that Mitch Daniels never lived in Governor’s Residence.

The security changes? Understand completely but, again, if you don’t want to live in the governor’s office, maybe don’t run for office. A helipad that even the governor’s office says won’t be used routinely? Totally wasteful.
