  1. Sooo…he’s not living in the Governor’s Mansion and is demanding everyone else come to the office and cut property taxes. Meanwhile, Braun is using taxpayer money to turn his personal residence into a compound?!

  2. So, we get the privilege of transporting the Gov via helicopter from Indy to Jasper? What a great use of tax dollars. But is anyone really surprised?

  3. I really can’t stand on the governor and his politics, however, in the world we live in, half of Indiana owns a gun and half of those people are nuts. If you’re a public figure making difficult decisions the reality is security is needed. I bet the United healthcare CEO wishes he had a little more security. Seems reasonable that the State upgrades and pays for his security.

    1. If you run for govenor you should expect that you live in the govenors mansion as part of the job.

    1. Especially since if you read the article, it literally said Mitch lived in Carmel.

The security changes? Understand completely but, again, if you don’t want to live in the governor’s office, maybe don’t run for office. A helipad that even the governor’s office says won’t be used routinely? Totally wasteful.
