  1. Why would you draft a person with a career ending Injury in college??? This guy will be on IR day one. Ballard is a complete idiot….
    I hope he proves me wrong.

    1. Not a huge football fan, but was thinking the same thing. He was recommended to retire, so why sign a guy who is one hit away from lifetime injury. SMH

    2. Then he transferred to a different school and played two successful seasons. Plus, I’m sure the Colts did pre-draft medical exams from head to toe and decided there was little downside to drafting him. That and a whopping insurance policy just in case.

  2. Getting the first defensive player taken in the draft is pretty sweet. Nobody knows how this will play out. Let’s watch next season and see if Ballard reached or if he got the steal of the draft. My guess is the latter.
