Sometimes, it is embarrassing to be a Lilly stockholder….
So sell if you want to. That’s how the market works.
I personally think that your embarrassment is more embarrassing than Lilly’s donations.
Bobby, you can always sell your shares….But, if the reason you are so “embarrassed” to own stock in the company is because it has committed to investing in a historically underserved and mistreated community, then perhaps *Lilly* should be embarrassed to have *you* as a shareholder.
You do realize that blacks in the STEMS are highly sought after don’t you.
Lilly specifically did not list the racial injustices that they want to fight against.
While I applaud Lilly for putting time and resources towards these efforts, “racial Injustice” is not just a black thing – that’s what always bothers me about these kinds of initiatives. What about other minorities that are also subjected to injustices?
The largest racial injustice is probably in the Lilly Ranks. How many high earning Asians or Indian employees are there compared to African Americans? Is that the real story here? Just asking for a friend.
