  1. If you ever wonder why I bash Jack Sandlin all the time, wonder no more.

If only he cared about road funding as much … then again, given the shape of the roads in his district, maybe I should give him credit for just showing up to work and not missing votes to go to Kelly’s Automotive to get his tires fixed.

Maybe Sandlin and the other Marion County Republicans – Young, Freeman, and Speedy – focus on the social issues because they’re impotent on the ones that matter.

    1. This law is pretty unnecessary anyways – every single school board candidate in the suburbs this last cycle had a red sign or a blue sign and ran as a slate….

      So dumb

  2. Republicans – “WoKe PoLiTics aRe RuInIng tHiS CouNtRy!!!!!”………… brings bill to make school board elections partisan. The culture wars are more politically fruitful than legitimate problems, per Joe’s comment above. Some day the adults will take control from these Boomers.

  3. The party of “smaller government control” proves yet again, that it is anything but. I honestly don’t understand how school board elections NEED to be anymore politicized then they already are.

  4. Across the country Republicans think any candidate for a local school board would automatically win their election, falsely believing most voters agree with their “ban the books, bank the wokes, ban the [fill in your choice here] that is poisoning the minds of our children and turning the Republic into a commie bastion controlled by China, Russia, and Big Tech.

If anything, Sandlin’s policy proposals are the real threat.

    1. Perhaps the Republican response to their increasing irrelevance among educated voters … is to crank out more uneducated voters.
