  1. Banks is just lazy and riding Trump’s coat tail as many voters vote straight ticket and are to lazy or unknowledgable of current events to vote for individual candiates. If this is how he will perform in office, we do not need him.

    1. You must not be paying attention. The vice president is all over the country–and she’s bene open to another debate for a month. 45 won’t do it. After their last debate, I can understand why he doesn’t want to be on the same stage as her.

    2. DonOLD is walking out of interviews because he is “too exhausted” and rambles on about nothing.

  2. The former Republican political party was converted by TRUMP into his personal CULT loyal only to him .so Banks feels no need to address the voters in a debate forum .,it might displease his Dear Leader then he’d have run to TRUMP and kiss his “ring”

  3. The front runner often does not debate. While that sucks, it’s a good strategy as there is only a chance to stumble and very little upside
When is the last time IBJ’s patron saint Andre took the debate stage?? The difference is IBJ would Never run that headline because they know it wouldn’t play well with their target audience

    1. “The front runner often does not debate.”

      That’s just a straight-up lie.

Also, Carson isn’t running for statewide representation, false comparison.

    2. Andre’s opponent died and they had to find a sub. And only Chuck, and maybe the folks whose radios are stuck on WIBC, would find a paper owned by a Republican who served under Daniels to be woke trash.

Banks has nothing to talk about given he’s not really done anything in Congress except pass a few veterans bills and be a culture warrior, so the opportunity to pull a Mourdock in a debate isn’t worth it. To be fair, even a handful of bills passed is a meager improvement over Mike Pence, who never got a bill passed in his 12 years and managed to turn that into the opportunity to be the Vice President who came closest to being executed by American citizens during an attempted insurrection. Really, the sky’s the limit for Banks right until Trump discards him like he does every other supporter.

Meanwhile Todd Young is refusing to endorse Trump and Trump’s now wanting to blow up one of his signature accomplishments, the CHIPS act, likely because doing anything that doesn’t directly him or one of his sycophants isn’t his style.
