Column whipped up fears

March 31, 2012

Indianapolis Business Journal may be the last publication that consistently carries good—no, make that great—journalism in Indianapolis. On the other hand, Greg Morris’ [March 26] column was pure fear mongering, filled with innuendoes and false statements. I lived in Chicago for 30 years and owned over 15 guns. I had an Illinois license and had my guns registered with the City of Chicago. Neither law imposed any limitation on my Second Amendment rights. I could hunt with my guns; I could target shoot with my guns; I could buy more guns and I could sell my guns. The only act I was not allowed to do with my guns was to kill someone.
