What I don’t like about Art vs. Art is that its paint day is always the same as the Penrod Art Fair. What I do like about Art vs. Art is just about everything else. I like the spirit of competition. I like the sense of humor infused into the event. I like the music by the Leisure Kings Big Band. I like the way it brings different audiences together. And I like the fact that this is a birthed-in-Indianapolis event that has proven wildly popular. What is it? It’s a bracketed battle between works of art. The winners move on to the next round and the losers either are bought at auction or destroyed onstage in sickly creative ways. Details here
