Who does [Mickey Maurer] admire more, a man of principle and conviction or a man who sways with political winds [May 27 Commentary]? Were Dan Coats to “change his mind” as several glad-handers have done, for the right votes, would he then earn your respect? Admittedly the press reports would make one believe the tide has turned regarding the age-old institution of marriage. But the question must be asked, has there ever been a time in history when a nation as a whole was wrong?
