  1. The solution isn’t difficult or complex. You find different and/or increased sources of revenue.

Our legislators make it different because they’re in denial that they’re underfunding infrastructure and they’re bound and determined to make road funding 100% reliant on user taxes, which sounds lovely on whatever ALEC form letter they’re passing off as their own thoughts, but works poorly in the actual real world.

    1. Maybe it’s just to prove Pressel is over his head.

Maybe the skills that you get from being a custom home builder don’t translate to managing the infrastructure needs for an entire state. Might be time for Todd Huston to turn to his bench and pick someone else.

  2. maybe state leaders will have to stop running on the old tag line of cut taxes to spur the local economy and actually bring businesses here and not give them so many tax break that breaks the budget for the infrastructure needed you know like roads, streets, educated citizens to work in those businesses.

  3. The solution is actually quite simple. Replace the reduced gas tax funding with a tax on the amount of electricity used to charge the vehicles. The electric company collects the tax on all chargers, public and private. Anyone attempting to evade the tax would face a stiff penalty.
