  1. Regardless of the terms of “deferred prosecution agreement, Boeing bears no culpability for the two crashes of the 737-800 Max. While investigators of those countries attempted to fix blame on Boeing, US officials from the National Transportation Safety Board notified those investigation of faulty and errant conclusions in those reports. Simply put, there were only two principal reasons for each crash: poor pilot training and skills, and poor maintenance practices in those countries. Any thought that the new software system employed in the aircraft is wishful thinking, as evidenced by the thousands of safe, uneventful flights by the same aircraft type here in the United States before the foreign crashes.

  2. Never let the facts interfere with a mob mentality narrative perhaps best exemplified by ” the beatings will continue until mobile improves”.

I am irritated when a news report breathlessly includes that it is a Boeing plane(almost all are Boeing or Airbus) involved in a situation that is quite likely pilot error and/or a maintenance issue…

The good news for Boeing is that the news cycle has the attention span of a gnat – soon we’ll be wondering about some has-been celebrity…
