    1. The current shop is not far away. They are at roughly 71st & Georgetown now.

  1. Generally, I think that the northwest quadrant of Marion County is the perfect place for these racing teams if they’re not going to setup shop on Speedway. The area is a close hop to Speedway and has plenty of underutilized office space that can be converted for racing team use.

Considering the relative lack of success that Andretti has had, I am surprised that they are building such an expensive building in Fishers. It’s far away from Speedway and overpriced. Commutes to/from track testing, dealing with Dallara and other vendors, etc. is a lot harder up in Fishers than in NW Marion County or even Zionsville.

    1. Yes, it seems pretty foolish, especially if they’re planning to run their F1 team from there.

    2. True or not is TBD but I believe they mentioned the proximity to the Metro airport was one of the things that made it a desirable location for Andretti.

    3. With Micheals F1 ambition and his global racing teams it make perfect sense. Indianapolis Regional is right there and prospect sponsors, engineers and designers can drop in for 4 hour meeting and get back to Europe or to the Coasts in shirt order! Andretti is a big picture thinker.

  3. I think this is a smart move for Arrow McLaren. There are some apparent benefits for Andretti building at Fishers airport, but in 5 years Whitestown is going to have the same sprawl traffic mess that Fishers has with none of the upsides. Park 100 is a straight shot to the Speedway.
