As one of 18 senators to vote against a $95 billion aid package for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan, Braun displayed a remarkable ignorance of the threats that we – and our allies – face in the world. Unfortunately, his likely replacement (Jim Banks) will be no better. Consider yourself, Indiana, warned of what these far-right extremists mean for our country and our state.

Just shows the leftism of the “Indiana Debate Commission”! Why would Republicans subject themselves to such nonsense? Instead of asking about the 2020 election (has nothing to do with the gubernatorial election in 2024 here in Indiana) why not ask when and how will we get universal vouchers for parents and their kids so they can choose the school of their choice?
It’s hard to spin a Right wing version of reality on a yes or no question. I can see why there was so much push back.
I would like to understand why Schwantes was selected as the moderator for this event. From having seen years of his appearances on weekly PBS shows, this seems a strange selection to me.
Schwantes is smart, a veteran regarding Indiana news, knowledgeable about the issues—these candidates must’ve been afraid of straight answers. Their commercials demonstrate that.
