    1. British usage has its way of creeping into American English. I believe Patrick Stewart’s pronunciation of “sterile” as “stare-aisle” in his various roles has almost single handedly caused American pronunciation to change to his from the “stare-el” pronunciation I grew up with.

  1. “One of Pure’s most important business relationships is with Buckingham, a locally-headquartered development company. The principal of that company is Brad Chambers, the former Indiana Secretary of Commerce. Defendant has noticed Mr. Chambers’ deposition for November 26. Ex. A. Defendant also seeks to engage on some kind of text message investigation of Mr. Chambers. Ex. B at 7 RFP 8. Seger hereby moves for a protective order prohibiting the deposition of Mr. Chambers.”

    “On October 24, 2024, Defendant submitted a Response that defies logic. Defendant acknowledges that Brad Chambers is a witness in this case and confirms plans to subpoena him for deposition in the coming weeks. Defendant also states that Buckingham—where AndrewKlineman serves as General Counsel—is a primary focus of their discovery efforts.”

    “This filing further underscores the significance of Mr. Klineman and Mr. Chambers to Defendant’s trial strategy.

    Neither Seger’s original complaint nor his Amended Complaint, filed just last week, identifies any supposed “external partners” who allegedly refuse to do business with 1the Company on account of Sanders. What we now know thus far is that:

    (1) Seger confided in Brad Chambers while attempting to force Sanders out of the Company;
    (2) Chambers introduced Seger to business coach Kim Janson, who continues to play a pivotal role Seger’s efforts to force Sanders out of the business; and
    (3) Seger claims he “rehabilitated” the Company’s relationship with Buckingham. Sanders believes further discovery will show that Chris’s vague allegations of “irreparable harm” with respect to Buckingham—like so many other allegations—have no basis in fact. In that case, it would be unnecessary and inefficient for Your Honor to recuse from this case.

    To expedite this discovery, Sanders has noticed the deposition of Chris Seger for November 12, 2024, and will seek to take the deposition of Brad Chambers the following week. Sanders respectfully requests that the Court reserve its determination until after the depositions of Chris Seger and Brad Chambers, at which point the parties and the Court will have the benefit of information beyond Seger’s broad and unsupported allegations.”

    Defendant Pure Development Capital, Inc. holds equity interests in certain projects and earns a portion of the Company’s profits.
