Architects must get Pulliam Square right

I couldn’t agree more with the July 6 editorial [Design is key for Pulliam Square]!

I can only hope the city, the designers and developers respect the monumentality and quality of the four-block-long mall. The established limestone and granite structures that currently line the mall have established the timeless precedent of architectural quality and scale that the Pulliam Square project should emulate, and continue with quality materials and design features.

We will all have to live with this for the next 100-plus years, so it is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get it right!•
