5 thoughts on “EV charging patterns could put strain on power grid, study says

    1. We just got through a record breaking heat wave with no widespread blackouts. You’re thinking of Texas in the winter time lol. This country does need to address adding a lot of renewable energy storage to our power grid though.

  1. What will be the cost to plug and charge, for example, while at work. All assumptions are that EV charging will cost less than gas, but when all is said and done, and the government chooses not to subsidize EV at the expense of the middle class, how many miles will an EV travel and at what cost compared to the same weight car and distance powered by gas or diesel powered? Are they just comparable?

  2. Home solar and batteries will solve the problem.

The new batteries entering the market are significantly better in longevity even with deep discharge usage patterns and they are cheaper to operate.
