Anton ''Tony'' Hulman Jr. in 1946, the year he reopened the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He inherited Hulman and Co. when his father, seen in the portrait, died in 1942.

The Nature Conservancy's $8.8 million headquarters has a variety of eco-friendly features, including a water system that captures rainwater to flush toilets. The project, which opened in 2011, received LEED platinum certification.

Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church at 414 W. Vermont St. has served the black community at its current location for nearly 150 years.
