  1. All this post-violence focus is at the wrong end of things. Let’s start with a better education and intervention services in our schools. When a young person arrives in middle-school and they have only mastered 3rd grade reading and math, there is a problem. Unless they find a vocational track, their only option is to drop out of school. Then what are their options???? Crime.
