10 thoughts on “Indiana Supreme Court dismisses latest disciplinary case against AG Todd Rokita”
Rokita says the accusations were caused by politics, yes his political mouth started the issue. Just like his hero Donald Trump, his word is worthless.
I’m SO disappointed but I guess we shouldn’t have expected any other outcome. There will be no stopping him now – he got away with lying and hubris, so what’s to stop him from continuing???
Indiana;s clown AG has been revived yet again by Indiana’s Supreme Court !
Well, that’s a shame…
Don’t you love farce?
But where are the clowns?
There ought to be clowns.
Quick, send in the clowns.
The complaint is dismissed on the belief that “he really meant it”. You’ve got to be kidding me?! So he spent one-half million dollars of taxpayer money for what purpose?
clearly a fixed outcome. Indiana Republicans don’t want to risk the wrath of the MAGAts by enforcing disciplinary rules against the AG…I wonder if this will set a precedent for all other lawyers in Indiana? Is it now appropriate for any lawyer to apologize for improper conduct, agree to a public censure, then repudiate the agreed outcome? Or does this only apply if you’re the AG?
If so, the Bar has just had its standards very materially and very clearly lowered. The public now has far less reason to trust Indiana lawyers, generally, than ever before.
Wink wink nod nod. Raise your hand if you ever expected a different outcome.
In the IBJ Forefront this week is an article by Rokita justifying persicution and prosecution of teachers who create a disruptive environment when posting things he objects to on their personal social media. Yet, when his words create a disruptive atmosphere is is OK because it is the almighty Todd and he alone determines who can say what. He even has a witch hunt site so people can snitch anonimously on each other, just like the McCarthy era, Russia and other non-first amendment countries. How have we allowed the loss of our freedom of speech to this blatant blow hard!?
Is there anything about this that does not stink?
