Angela Braly, who last summer took over as CEO of Indianapolis-based health insurer WellPoint Inc., is ranked No. 4 on Forbes’ latest list of the world’s most powerful women. That’s up from No. 16 last year.

Topping the list is Germany Chancellor Angela Merkel. No. 2 is Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. Chairman Sheila Bair, and third is PepsiCo Chairman Indra Nooyi.
