cover his thefts.
Dwayne Roberts pleaded guilty to arson and theft charges Tuesday.
The 31-year-old
Roberts was arrested in May.
Police have said Roberts had been stealing money from a Fifth Third Bank branch for
several months. They say he tried to conceal the May theft by setting a fire to a box of cash in the vault before closing
the branch, but as he left the vault, he dropped his keys and locked them inside.
Investigators said Roberts hoped
burning some cash would conceal how much money he allegedly had taken from the vault.
Roberts faces sentencing
