Sergeant Jeffery Shaw, an 11-year veteran with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, was killed Thursday afternoon
in a collision south of Warsaw. Shaw was responding to a call when his cruiser was hit by a flat-bed truck. State police investigators
say it was a freak accident and they don’t expect to file charges. The truck driver suffered minor injuries.
