Police shoot at suspect in church parking lot

An off-duty Indianapolis police officer opened fire outside Castleton Christian Church on Sunday morning, shooting at a
vehicle he said tried to run him over. A witness called 911 after seeing three men using a crow bar to gain entry to a van.
When Detective James Carver tried to stop them, he said they jumped into their vehicle and swerved in his direction. He said
he fired his weapon in self defense. Police say one of the suspects may have been hit by a bullet. Investigators are still
looking for the suspects’ car, a white four-door Chrysler with chrome wheels and dark tinted windows.
