The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology’s board of trustees have elected interim school president Matt Branam the college’s
new full-time president.

Branam was elected the 14th president of the Terre Haute engineering school on Friday
during a special board meeting in Indianapolis.

He became interim president in June after then-president Gerald
Jakubowski announced he was leaving to become provost of the California Maritime Academy.

Trustees chairman William
Fenoglio says Branam has a vision to build on Rose-Hulman’s reputation as the nation’s top undergraduate engineering, science
and mathematics college.

The 1979 graduate of the 135-year-old school was previously a vice president at UPS and
chief operating officer at the American Red Cross under Elizabeth Dole.
