plant.
Forrest Lucas has hired lawyers to help the Concerned Citizens of Crawford County in their opposition to
the proposed plant near Milltown. The developers have projected burning 300,000 tons of wood chips and lumber a year to generate
electricity they would sell to a utility.
Lucas’ daughter’s family lives near the site. He calls the project a
waste of money through government grants and tax incentives.
Liberty Green partner Terry Naulty says that federal
leaders have decided it is good policy to provide incentives for investments in renewable energy.
Lucas made a
$121.5 million deal for naming rights to the new Indianapolis Colts stadium.
