hit-and-run. The officer reported that he was driving on the city’s south side on Emerson Avenue near Edgewood Avenue early
Wednesday when he saw the man in the roadway too late to avoid hitting him. Investigators found blood and auto parts not belonging
to the police cruiser where the man apparently had been hit. Mark Nelson, 26, of Indianapolis died a few hours later at Wishard
Memorial Hospital. Fox59 will have more at 4 p.m.
