State Supreme Court to weigh voter-ID law

January 26, 2010

The Indiana Supreme Court will decide whether the state’s voter identification law violates the state’s constitution. The League of Women Voters argues that the law, which requires voters to show a photo ID to cast a ballot, violates the state constitution because it isn’t applied equally to all voters. Those who vote by mail don't have to prove their identity. Arguments on the appeal are set to begin in March.
