On a seasonally adjusted basis, the pace of mortgage loan activity fell 10.9 percent for the week ended Jan. 22, according
to the Mortgage Bankers Association. Rates for 30-year loans increased to 5.02 percent from 5 percent the previous week. Fifteen-year
mortgages increased to 4.34 percent from 4.33 percent.
