There is a new push to keep students safe on Purdue University’s campus in West Lafayette. Surveillance cameras are
being installed in 54 locations as part of a $1.4 million security project that began last year. By fall, the university hopes
to have 133 cameras in place, many of them in parking garages. Campus police will monitor the camera feeds 24 hours a day.
Fox59 will have more at 4 p.m.
