Pedestrian struck by car in Plainfield

Plainfield police say a pedestrian was struck by a car while trying to cross the street about 6:30 Tuesday morning. The incident
occurred near Stanley Road about a quarter-mile west of State Road 267 in a residential area near a medical park and apartment
complex. The male victim was taken to Wishard Hospital in serious condition. Police don’t believe the driver who hit
him was impaired, but they are running tests to make sure.
