Five in custody after alleged kidnapping

March 15, 2010

Indianapolis police detectives spent Sunday questioning a 23-year-old woman who said she was held against her will for 24 hours this weekend. The woman said she was taken from her Denny Street residence and forced to withdraw money from ATMs. Shortly before noon Sunday, a witness at an east-side convenience store told police it appeared a woman was being held against her will. Minutes later, officers stopped the woman’s Dodge Neon in the 400 block of Linwood Avenue. The victim was released, and police took a man and woman into custody. Police also took three other men into custody and confiscated guns at the victim’s home.
