Indianapolis police are investigating whether a 17-year-old driver was racing another car Wednesday afternoon when she hit a curb and flipped her 1997 green Cavalier in an east-side field near the 1900 block of Hillside Avenue. Police say she was driving at excessive speeds. All four occupants of the car were girls ages 16 to 18. Two were ejected in the crash, and the other two were trapped. All were rushed to Methodist Hospital in critical condition, and since have been upgraded to stable condition.
