Authorities say a 14-year-old babysitter who claimed he tried to save three young children from a south-side Indianapolis
house fire actually started the blaze and left the home when it got out of control. The police and fire departments announced
Thursday that a warrant obtained earlier in the week charged the boy as a juvenile with arson in the March 30 blaze. They
said the boy was arrested and held on an unrelated charged. Authorities said the boy was babysitting for three boys, ages
3, 7 and 8, who were critically injured and spent weeks in the hospital.
