Forty-five Degrees
The cast of “Jersey Boys” (see my review in the upcoming IBJ) strays from the Four Seasons’ songbook for
this after-party event benefiting Step Up Inc. and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The gimmick? Broadway Backwards features
reverse-gender performances of songs. Similar shows in other cities included Whoopi Goldberg singing “Gee, Officer Krupkee”
and Alan Cumming singing “Rainbow High” from “Evita.” You get the idea. Also on the bill: a silent
action—and half-price martinis. Details here.
