Brother, sister die in Brownsburg blaze

July 26, 2010

Two people died following an early-morning fire in Brownsburg. Neighbors said the victims were brother and sister, both in their 60s, who had lived together in the house for 15 years. The fire broke out about 5:20 a.m. at a home in the 7500 block of East County Road 300 North, just east of State Road 267. Officials said at least three animals were rescued from inside the home. A horse and 30 cats were found in a barn behind the house. Although the fire was concentrated on the first floor, the victims were discovered on the second floor. Investigators are still searching for the cause of the fire. Fox 59 will have more at 4 p.m.
