Indiana University says the statewide fall enrollment at its eight campuses should set a new record with about 109,000 students
in the IU system.
IU says this fall's enrollment should be about 2,000 higher than last year's record.
Just over 7,000 first-year students are enrolled this fall at IU's main campus in Bloomington. The average SAT score
for Indiana residents in the group is 1179, the highest ever for in-state students.
The average SAT score for all first-year students in Bloomington is 1197. That's the second highest ever and just a few
points shy of the record of 1203 set last year.
The figures include scores for students who took the ACT exam, converted to the equivalent SAT score.
