A driver slammed into a tornado-siren pole this morning on the west side of Indianapolis, knocking it over. She was taken to Methodist with complaints of stomach and back pain. The accident occurred near Cossell Road and West Michigan Street just before 5 a.m. The woman said she was distracted by something on her windshield before swerving and hitting the pole.
