On a seasonally adjusted basis, the pace of mortgage loan activity fell nine-tenths of a percent for the week ended Dec. 3, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association. The rate for 30-year mortgages increased to 4.66 percent from 4.56 percent the previous week. The rate for 15-year mortgages increased to 3.98 percent from 3.91 percent.
