A high-speed chase Friday morning stretched over two counties and ended after the driver broke into an Indianapolis home. At about 1 a.m., a Hancock County sheriff’s deputy clocked a vehicle traveling more than 100 mph on U.S. 52 near the Marion-Hancock County line. The driver, 30-year-old Brian Wampler, refused to pull over and was pursued into southeast Marion County where he wrecked the car near Hickory Road and Mollie Court. Authorities say the man broke out a window in one of the homes nearby, entered the house and demanded car keys from a female resident. She ran out of the home screaming and the man was apprehended.
