Two semi tractor-trailers were involved in a serious crash early Friday morning in the southbound lanes of Interstate 65 at the 138.5 mile marker near the Lebanon State Road 39 exit. Indiana State Police say one of the drivers, 47-year-old Gregory Armstrong, from Rockford, Ill., was taken to Witham Hospital in Lebanon. Officials said Armstrong apparently was slowing down due to a mechanical problem with his truck. That’s when the second semi came up from behind, slamming into the slowing truck. The second driver, 23-year-old Zack Chapman, was listed in serious condition at Methodist Hospital. Traffic on southbound I-65 was temporarily halted after the crash.
