Woman killed in northwest-side parking lot

An unidentified woman died Wednesday night after being shot in the head in the parking lot of a muffler shop on Indianapolis' northwest side, police said. The clerk at a nearby liquor store also suffered an injury, but it’s unclear how the incidents are connected. The shooting happened in the 3600 block of Lafayette Road at about 8:20 p.m. Paramedics having dinner at a restaurant across the street from the scene were alerted by witnesses, who saw two men fleeing on foot.
