Condition of teen shot at school improves

The medical condition of a 15-year-old Martinsville boy shot at school by another youth has improved. Chance Jackson has been upgraded to fair condition from serious at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, WIBC-FM reported. Jackson has undergone surgery twice after being shot twice March 25 at Martinsville West Middle School. A vigil and walk in honor of Jackson on Wednesday night attracted about 500 participants. Prosecutors want the 15-year-old boy arrested in connection with the shooting to be tried in adult court. He's due to go before a judge Friday.
