The father of a 13-year-old Indianapolis girl who is in critical condition after being struck by a car says she may have run into the street to avoid bullies. Samantha Henson was on Washington Street in front of Indianola Park at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday when she was struck by a westbound 1997 Geo Prizm driven by a 25-year-old woman. The girl was taken to Wishard Hospital, then transferred to Riley Hospital. Her father, Gerone Henson, said posts on Facebook say Samantha was being bullied at the park and that's why she ran into the street.
