Armed robber hits Castleton area

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police are investigating a string of armed robberies reported in the Castleton area. Officers say the suspect, a tall white man who may be balding, approaches his victims and demands money at gunpoint. At least two robberies have been confirmed, including one just after 1 a.m. Tuesday at the Thornton’s gas station at 82nd Street and Dean Road. Witnesses said the suspect may have been driving a red car with a temporary license plate.
