Missing Indiana University student Lauren Spierer and a companion were involved in a confrontation with a group of young people less than two hours before she was last seen, an attorney for Corey Rossman says. Rossman was the last known person to be with Spierer, a 20-year-old sophomore, before she disappeared early in the morning on June 3.  Authorities began searching Lake Monroe on Wednesday afternoon with boats and sonar equipment and resumed the search Thursday morning. Spierer’s family is offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to her safe return.
