July 1
Various locations
Space doesn’t allow me to tell you about every gallery opening happening this Friday, but I can say it’s certainly easier to hop from one to the other in July than it is in February. Here’s a starter list: Gallery 924, the Arts Council of Indianapolis’ space, features “Contemporary Figurative Work: Central Indiana Artists Explore the Human Figure.” Artists include Kyle Ragsdale and Tom Casalini. Meanwhile, the Harrison Center for the Arts offers a group furniture show “Formtionality.” Trek a little farther north, to Broad Ripple’s Indianapolis Art Center, for “Inside,” a showcase of works by prisoners in the Correctional Industrial Facility in Pendleton.
